Context: My friends and I are playing thunder kings fury (slight spoiler stuff ahead) And we are looking for the artifacts at the barbarian tribes spirit mounds. We were at the blue bear tribes spirit mound where there was a very spooky spirit tree with bone wind-chimes in its branches. My character specifically said that was the one tree she didn’t like. (she is romantically attracted to trees) We were ambushed by some ghosts because the artifact was necromancy magic and was disturbing the peace so to speak. Our Druid had cast speak with plant on the tree. And was informed that it was in his roots and my ranger spoke to the tree and found he didn’t like the bone wind chimes and was actually quite charming.
Druid: I cast awaken.
Dm: Okay the tree starts to move and pulls itself out of the ground, removing the artifact from his roots. The ghosts disappear. (He said it way better it was a few months ago so I don’t remember the whole thing)
Druid (Who was reading the spell from the book): Oh…I think he is awake forever. It says he is charmed for 30 days then can decide if he likes us or not…It doesn’t say it wears off.
My ranger: OMG I am going to woo this tree.
Druid OOC: I just accidentally made a husband for her didn’t I?
Me OCC: YES. Time to woo the spirit tree!
